I did not celebrate Christmas at all this year. I really am not big on holidays or family - been that way for well over a decade - but still it felt lonely and empty, with me wishing I was across town with the sisters I just sort of adopted a number of years back. They have real family to deal with on those days though, so I never ask or call. I am fairly isolated from them anymore anyway.

No big New Years plans either. That is a holiday I can honestly say I have never understood.

I guess the word of the day is depression. At least today I managed to not fall asleep in my big comfy chair at work. I really am that bored and lethargic these days.
