Didn't leave the house at all this last weekend. I didn't even get out of bed until some time after 7 p.m. Saturday. Absolutely no energy and a throbbing head on top of it all. I got up and moving after taking some migraine pills, but this is the laziest and most sluggish I've been in a long, long time. I probably could have slept...

Well..that was a long week. So happy I get to leave work as early as 1 p.m. everyday (it more than makes up for going in during the small hours), but some days just seem to drag on forever even when you're getting out early.

I want to sleep the whole weekend away.

I'd like to see him do a third Watchmen review/2nd blog post. One that doesn't concentrate almost solely on Dr. Manhattan. Granted, he's a major focal point in both book and film, but there's more going on than tachyon interferences and quantum mechanics, you know?

I nodded off at work today. I partly blame the comfy, custom-ordered chair the guy who uses my computer on the night shift ordered, but for the most part it's the dead silence of the newsroom after our deadline has passed and the pages have been sent back to hit the press. That said, this is West Virginia - I could fall asleep trying to...

I went to see The Last House on the Left today. A pretty good remake in my opinion. I was surprised by how many older folks were in the audience, not to mention how many couples were there. A film about sadistic murder and rape doesn't exactly strike me as date material. Even more fucked up was hearing a small child talking here and there...

I've been listening to The Smiths lately. Somehow this came up in a conversation with a co-worker when we went out to lunch today, which triggered a childhood memory about a friend who was a few years older than me back when I was still in elementary school and our parents, his and mine, would throw parties for things like New Years or the Super...

Didn't you ever watch Toy Story? It's mean to blow up toys.

: )

And maturity, as well as music, definitely require age to appreciate sometimes.

Went and saw Watchmen with a friend again today and enjoyed it even more the second time around because I'm a big nerd. The crowd in both the theater and the mall was sparse, since my friend and I arrived in the early afternoon and there were no kids to be found. Such a welcome change of pace.

Not much beyond that beyond watching Seinfeld...

Went out saw Watchmen today. There's no doubt in my mind I'll be seeing it again before this next week is out..and at least one more time beyond that. The story was handled beautifully, the film looked magnificent, Rorschach was fucking perfect and the altered ending didn't phase me one bit.

Definitely not your typical comic book movie. The violence was brutal (though I'd argue...

It was down in the 20s yesterday. Today it's up in the 60s and it should be up in the 70s when I go to see Watchmen on Saturday. Maybe spring is finally arriving here in the east. Can't happen soon enough, I say.

I am feeling a bit blase at the moment, despite the sunshine and the warmer temperatures. I don't really have an...

Yeah, I can see that. Most of the reviews have said multiple viewings are necessary. Which just makes sense, I've read it three times in the last year and I still find new things about it I missed before.

Color me confused brown, but I think necessary multi-screenings should be required for any movie, much less a Watchmen movie.

Today is my mother's 56th birthday, which in spite of my good mood over the last few days has me thinking about how we're all getting older and so many of us are just slowly falling apart. My bones ache, I've gained weight over the last few years and sometimes I want to yell at the neighbor kids when they're playing their Jonas Brothers bullshit...

I just spent the last few hours watching the first five episodes of the first season of Breaking Bad at a friend's apartment. I watched them when they first aired (they came out on DVD today) and loved them then...and I think I love them even more now. Such an amazingly well-crafted show. Dark, humorous, sometimes morbid and sometimes poignant. Bryan Cranston is amazing. It's...

I've been here for years and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. I mean, I like the naked ladies. I like them a lot. Some of them have gorgeous personalities to match the outside. But what I don't like are some of the disrespectful tags and comments that fly about. The girls - not to mention people in general - deserve better. So if...
