It bothers me when someone has done something great and they can't even see it.
This started with me rummaging through some old stuff and I found a music cd I had burned years ago. I started playing it to see what was on it and I came across a song from my ex's first band. This is a song he wrote and it was really good back then and evan now when I listen to it. At the time the band kind-of sucked......horrible singer and bad guitarist. I've always pushed him to introduce the song to his new band, but he feels like it's something to be ashamed of and wants nothing to do with it. So, me being me, I texted him about it today and pushed the issue again. All it needs is a few changes here and there, some polishing up and a better singer (which he already has in his new band). Maybe I'm just seeing the "diamond in the rough" here, but it's really good and it shouldn't go to waste. It could work with their music and the current genre.
I'm done ranting now.
