ah, that's great to hear. and i'm sure your brother's head felt terrific the next day.
Yakuza continues to take pieces of my skull with them whenever they play, so i had a good time Friday night as well.

yeah, my weekend left me a little light in the wallet as well. i went into shock a bit Saturday morning when i saw the damage i'd done. sometimes the good times cost ya, there's not much you can do about it.
ojaeflo:
Is it better with a white or a red wine??
cornink:
yep.

dude! you're gonna kill me with your indecision! sheesh... i guess i won't believe anything until the night hits and i see you or i don't.
anyway - i really don't think that much is happening with me after the show. i'm going to both days of Intonation with the wife, so it would be best to not stagger home blind drunk as the sun rises on Saturday morning.

i am bummed you won't be there. i think you would really enjoy their set, man. but i understand, if it's a benefit show for the guy's family... if you change your plans, you know how to reach me, though.
have a good time with yr pop this weekend, man. rock on

that sounds like a dangerously good time. try not to destroy the rest of your weekend as a result, man.
yeah, i'm pretty sure i'm still going to Yakuza. i've been yammering on about it and looking forward to it for months. so, when they roll back through, i will once again begin recruiting. but we'll see each other before that.

Have you heard Moonchild yet? It's already become one of my top Zorn recordings, right there with the original Naked City and Cobra.
skeksi:
It's hard to say what it sounds like. It sounds like Moonchild I guess... which is not to be difficult, just to say, it is what you would say other things might sound like in the future... "oh, that sounds like Moonchild" you know? It's entirely original and I am blown away. Download or buy it ASAP.
sophronia:
nice

good luck with the plans
my escape to this little chunk of volcanic rock in the middle of nowhere has worked out better than I could ever imagine.
nice use of symbolism with the storm clouds and all

i will let you know if i'm going for sure - hopefully you can make it out. keep Yakuza in mind for serious - that band is one of my favorites to see live right now...

you know... i was thinking...
about my last comment...
it's not necessarily being in a band or performing that gives a guy added sex appeal...
I think it has to do with living your life the way you want to live it and being able to do the things that truly fulfill you. When a person really lives their life to the fullest, it shines out in everything that they do, and always makes them that much more attractive.

anyone hate weddings? i do. my drummer (from making ghosts) is getting married in galena this weekend. i'm so fucking broke too. galena is kinda pricey but i'm only there for a night. poor fucker... him not me. i'd rather be broke and alone than married and miserable (for now).
sophronia:
you can get wasted at the reception though...
and maybe there will be a hot bridesmaid for you.

...........but some day i hope to be miserable too,
new profile pic. she's going to be sacrificed. ..and her destiny has been chosen.
salome:
Well, sort of. There weren't too many people at the last Chicago show. There are also problems with playing bigger venues, like the venue expecting you to sell your own tickets and take a loss if you don't, shit like that. So if you're not convinced you can fill it, you don't play it. Plus many bands would rather play a small crappy venue packed with enthusiastic people rather than a big-name venue with a handful of people who don't want to mosh or get too into the music for fear of looking stupid.
sophronia:
yep,
i sculpted that boob specifically for you
