Am I lame?

I went to a superbowl thing with two people I'd met and a handful new folks, talking, drinking, fun, girl I'm hitting on... Afterwards it's "hey, we're all just gonna hang out some more and smoke up" and I leave. I think it was - I didn't want to be the only one not smoking but maybe more importantly being asked "why?" and also not having an actual answer.

I've never smoked before, anything. Hell, I didn't start drinking until I was 24 for probably the same reason, just no interest in it. I started drinking as kind of a "why the hell not?" and I wonder what's really different with weed really. Sure it's not legal here but I can't imagine anyone getting arrested for it either.

So... I'm lame?

Also, got some digits on Friday! She's quite a bit younger than me (turning 23, I'm 32 this year) but damn is she cute and fun. We'll see where that goes, eh?

Not lame. I'm surrounded by weed smokers in my life, and I only do it occasionally, and even at that it's maybe one hit. Also age difference is no biggie. I know lots of couples who are thriving with similar age differences :)

Totally not lame! Politely leaving is never a bad thing, but staying and not smoking would have been fine too, I swear! Stoners really don't give a shit about you not smoking as long as you don't give a shit that they do :-) If anything one less smoker means more for everyone else, lol. They might get baked, forget, and try to pass to you on accident, but you can just pass to the next person in the rotation. I've almost never seen someone asked why they aren't smoking (unless it was someone who usually smokes), or anyone attempt to pressure someone else into smoking. That would be really weird.
