Long weekend, eh? I did a little bit.

As usual I did a bit of climbing. I've posted before about having a lot of trouble trying to find consistent partners to climb with... well... that's still happening. I posted on CraigsList a few times and have had some "I've never tried it before- what the hell." kinda folks- that's cool. They've seemed to enjoy the hell out of it but not enough to get stuck on it apparently and none I have found interesting enough to really push them to do so either. After all, it's not the cheapest of hobbies to get started in.

Sunday I decided to go on a long walk from my home in Irvington (NE) to the REI in NW to look at some killer clearance deals they had in climbing gear. I picked up some quickdraws that I'll need when I get outside to climbing "in the wild" as I like to put it for a steal.

This also gets me one step closer to checking off some things from my list: The first item "Lead Climb in a Gym"- I'm scheduled to take a class my my gym for lead climbing (where you don't have a rope tied into anything until you can climb up to a point where you can attach one in yourself) mid next month and I'm SUPER excited about that! Also, the last item on the list "Climb a real cliff face" will somewhat depend on finding a climbing partner as this is something one cannot do by oneself but I'm stocking up the gear to be able to do so.

After that I swung around and stopped in Powell's (weird in there since they're remodeling so it's hard to find things) and I continued on home just enjoying the beautiful weather. (about 5.7 miles)

Today I thought I'd do something similar. I have an art/odd toy store up on Alberta that I've gotten a few pieces of artwork from that I've been meaning to visit so I though I'd just walk up there and read my book along the way. Damn place was GONE!! WHAT THE FUCK!? :'( So I just kinda continued along and swung out to 33rd and back down to Broadway to look at another mountaineering store and back home. Totaling another 6.66miles (I checked the distance) so I got my walking exercise in this weekend and can't say I didn't get out and enjoy the sun. AND got some reading in to boot!

Also I've enjoyed more and more doing little doodles and drawings on Snapchat so by all means, Snapchat me (focketpox) and I'll add you to my list of recipients. *I don't send random provocative imagery unless specifically requested. I enjoy the idea of passing random notes to people throughout the day as it puts a much appreciated smile on my face.

Also, I think I may have unwittingly drawn my ideal woman on there (whom I've yet to meet). Does it match you? If so, please apply within. (I'm very fun to be around)

* note: breasts seem kinda large in that photo... though I enjoy breasts of all shapes and sizes I tend to be more a fan of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee group than the Big Boob Appreciation group if you pick up what I'm laying down. (no discrimination as I look into many other things first anyhow) - As if anyone is reading this far. (aside from you, Toez.)
