I've been having the weirdest dreams the past couple of weeks. I was smoking again for the 2 weeks surrounding my thesis defense purely for sanity's sake, with the promise to myself that I would quit as soon as it was over. Since the nicotine patches worked for me so well before, I got a box of the low-powered variety to make sure I didn't half-ass anything.

Now, I'm sure most people don't know about my favorite side effect of wearing the patch overnight. It turns out you can get some really vivid dreams - like someone plugs your brain into an amplifier when you go to sleep, and I remember just about all of them. Rock.

So normally, when you dream about the opposite sex, you'd be dreaming about getting laid or falling in love or the excitement of the chase, whatever. Me, I've been having mild nightmares about women that I don't want! Chasing me around, making moves at the bar, trying to pin me against the wall, etc. And the whole time I'm trying to get away.

I just don't get it. Whatever happened to the wet dreams of my adolescent days?
