Like many I am really disappointed the way that California voters voted. I am proud to be an American but ashamed to be a Californian. It is pathetic that most Californians voted yes on 8 because they saw some ignorant commercials about it ruining kids lives and protecting marriage? its sad to think that one of the most liberal states voted to ban gay marriage. I am personally insulted that it passed because its just flat out discrimination at its finest. Some people might remember when blacks could not marry whites, asians couldn't vote or marry outside there race, and now its gays getting there right to be married TAKEN AWAY. Not stopping them for the first time but stripping them of a human rights. It is said that they wanted to protect marriage. So banning marriage for gays is protecting marriage? hmmm maybe we should pass props next elections voting to take away divorce, single parenting, cheating, and pre-marriage sex. All things that ruin the "value of marriage" yet are looked the other way on.
Today i have made a promise that i will not marry until the day that a man can marry a man or woman or a woman can freely choose a man or a woman to share there life with and it NOT be looked down upon!
so sorry ladies! your guna have to wait lol
