Got off from work last night in time for a decent concert. Saosin came to play an acoustic set at a local bar, and the music was great. But, the bar was talked into making it an all ages show, so they didn't sell any booze until after the show. This kind of made most of their jokes fall flat; I thought they were funny but the crowd as a whole didn't get very active til the very end of the set.
Besides that though, the band definitely played their set well. Even more impressive was that, due to the usual guitarist being gone on his honeymoon, the bassist stepped and had to learn all of the guitar parts for the acoustic set. I wouldn't have noticed except they told the audience.
Definitely not a waste of time for a free concert.
