So I have decided to put something in my journal. I make no promisses to say anything insightful or intelligent at any time though. I spend too much time thinking all day to have anything intelligent to say by the time I get off work.
I am travelling to Bismark, ND this weekend. My first public gig as a dj. I'm pumped, and a little nervous.
It'll be fun though. It'll be a kick to play through a big system. I haven't performed in front of a crowd since I was in my last band, and that was like what, four years ago? Biggest crowd I played for back then was 1600 people. I miss it. I'll be playing out some of my own tracks so it'll be nice to see how a crowd reacts. No pay of course. So I'm traveling about 6 hours to play 1 hour for probably 50-100 people I've never met and may never meet again, just for the pure fun of it. And if I mess up royally and never get booked there again... Well, it IS six hours away.

bleep bleep... yeah, like I said, I'm horrible with these blog things. so here's the random update, that gig way back when, went well. layed down a decent set, despite fighting with someone else's crappy mixer. work is insane, life is even more so right now. but all is well.
