I am a retired bartender, I've begun the grind of the professional workforce, complete with traffic jams too and from work, having to wake up at times that I previous saw fit only for going to bed at and for a few weeks at least...weekends off, not sure what I'll feel about that. Day one was Monday, orientation, better known as a fantastic excuse for suicide. Filling out mundane form after mundane form, W-4, Life insurance, Health insurance, Dental insurance, a form promising I won't conceal/carry a firearm (how am I supposed to feel gangsta?) And reading a lot of bureaucratic mumbo jumbo about official protocols and their bizarro pay system which one of the training officers said made it almost impossible to get fired, his last name is Cotton and as such that is how he is referred to, he kinda looks like Larenz Tate, the other guy is like a six-five white guy who laughs at his own jokes too much. And the lady in charge looks like (random black character actress from cop drama). I "graduate" November 4th at which point I shadow a guard for a while and then I'm out there in the shizz. Either on Hall St. in North City or downtown on Tucker, I'd prefer Tucker I think, but I doubt I'll have a say in the matter. On another note: WAY TO FUCKING GO CARDINALS! Going to the game tomorrow after another soul crushing day of forms and memos. $120 tickets didn't sound too unreasonable, though money is gonna be a little tight until the 29th...oh well you can't put a price on memories, actually you probably can, but fuck it.
