Well I got my playoff Cardinal baseball wish. Already better than '09 cause I know we won't be swept. Philly is a hell of a team but we've proven we can beat them. I bought a stovetop smoker last week and cooked myself a steak on it tonight, it was overcooked, but it was tender as the dickens and smokier than all get out, I'm excited by the new tool in my cooking arsenal. Sorry...food geeked out there for a sec. I'm enjoying a nice glass of Chartreuse on the rocks currently and awaiting news about my big boy job. Alas...anyhoo, I want to be back in Saint Louis ASAP, but I have the luxury of being able to be choosy about where I am this time around. I might even look into buying a place what with real estate being in the dumper as it is. We shall see. I have a six week training period once I'm notified, followed by a six month probationary period, then 120 days to obtain residence, so two weeks short of a year to find a place that suits me, I should be able to make that work, I need to. Damn it I miss my cat.
