Do you ever wish you could be more than one person? To live the life you want to with one and the life others want you to lead with the other dozen or so... To be the cold-hearted malevolent asshole in this body and then not have to cry about it in the others. To have the ability to be with whomever you wanted and to not hurt anyone in the process. They could all have you, or the you that you're supposed to be for them. Sometimes we need to just act independent of our responsibilities to ourselves, our friends, our lovers, our jobs and just live according to our feelings.
But this is a slippery slope.....
When we return from Neverland the world continued to move. People missed us. Things went undone, unsaid, unwritten, unloved.
When we come back over the rainbow the people we left behind were worried. They know we went away from everything but they see it as leaving them.
I don't know where I'm going with this but I know one thing, for every ounce of happiness I create for myself....it leaves behind it a pound of pain for those I claim to love.
Being careless with the hearts of others is dangerous business....maybe that's why so many people die alone.
Sorry to unload this but it needed to be out of my head.
