ok so i suppose maybe i should update a little on my life? i haven't written a real entry in a while. or is that what you want? haha, tough shit kiddies.
-school is almost over! 5 more weeks, then finals, and then i get to go to florida for 5 days. whew, what a reward for finishing the year
-i started working a second job. my second day working there is tomorrow. i had to go through all this stuff to get the job, but it's all good because i have it now, it pays well, and i think i might end up liking it.
-i have a hickey on my ear
-everything's going pretty well, i'm not so bored lately - been trying to keep busy and make my life more interesting.
doesn't seem like a whole lot, but it pretty much encompasses what's going on for me lately. so there.

the assignment: Portrait Poem
Picture a person you have strong feelings for, living or dead, but someone you were/are personally acquainted with.
For a title, choose an emotion or color that represents that person to you. You will not mention the person's name in the writing.
Start by choosing one of the following:

In this (memory, photograph, dream, etc.), you are _______

Following that first sentence, build a portrait of the person, using these prompts:
Sentence 2: has a color in it
3: has a body part in it
4: has a simile
5: is over 25 words long
6: is under eight words
7: has a piece of clothing in it
8: has a wish in it
9: has an animal in it
10: has three or more words that alliterate
11: has two commas
12: has a smell and a color in it
13: has a simile and a metaphor
14: could use an exclamation point, if you choose
15: uses the word or words you chose for a title to help close this portrait

You stand there checking and re-checking your reflection in the silver-framed mirror,
Your yellow locks already beyond perfection.
The mirror is your best friend, your third arm.
You are like a model, vain without reason.
I can remember going to school on pajama day in my plaid flannels and you asked me if I was really going to wear that; you said I should care what other people think of me.
I never cared as much as you.
I wore my pajama pants just like everyone else.
I wish I ended up less like you.
I'd rather be a dog - happy no matter what they say.
Should you have succeeded so well in shaping me this way?
Sometimes I think, to myself of course, that none of it matters.
You can spray on your Chanel and dye your hair blonde
But you're still that model, you're still cubic zirconia.
I use to say, "I will never be like you!"
But vanity creeps up on you, however much you don't want it to.
and then for a joke:
