for some reason unbeknownst to me, the traffic was INFUCKINGSANE coming home tonight. it took me 20 minutes to get from the 1-mile stretch of highway to my house. holy crap man. that's usually a 2-minute drive. but i'm home now, and all is well.

work was fun today. i have almost finished my first mitten (i'm learning how to knit mittens!) it's so exciting yes i knit at work... it's a work-study job and when there's nothing to do, we still get paid to just sit around with our thumbs up our asses. so, since i don't particularly enjoy sitting around with my thumb up my ass, i like to do other things. knitting is one, reading is another. we also play games, do crafts relating to the closest holiday, and occasionally get a task to do that involves our master work skills. i love my job. over winter break i'm going to be working there a lot, so i'll get some nice cash flow goin' on... which i REALLY need because when someone doesn't pay her share of the bills, it really starts to suck me dry. BUT that's over, and i have a new roommate moving in. if only he'd move in already... i've been alone here for about a week now. i'm enjoying it, but i don't want to get too used to it.
