THE POETRY POST 
k guys, i'm dedicating this entry to the poetry of some of my greatest friends. they're good poems, so take the time to actually read them. hopefully you'll love them too. if you don't, you should die. or at least live unhappily for a little while. enjoy, my peeps!
my best friend jen wrote this. it's called For Once
to you this might not seem that big at all
but to me this means the whole wide world
so consider this moment, this time, this place, right now.
cause for once in our lives
I think we've got things figured out
for once in my life
I think I've got things figured out
now we've all taken for granted everything we are
counting on our wishes made on falling stars
I don't believe I do believe in fate
when all of our best laid plans
are laid to waste
presenting a lesson learned
we make mistakes
and then there's Storm, written by my friend Kristin. also very good.
Regurgitated fears shake the crystal panes
the consequences of a lengthy storm remains
Silence consumed the heart of the girl
the flooded river begins to hurl
Fly while the clouds are blue
until the thunder echoed through
Terminated, lefft broken and unchartered
constant thoughts did deeply scar her
Have a penny for good luck
someone stole mine - now I'm fucked
In a place not fit for a stranger
I find myself my only danger
Silent screams left on hold
a thousand calls the machine was told
No one's home, the darkness fell
a place much hotter than fates hell
Hungry, angry, passions of rage,
not all those drowning can be saved
another by jen. called Treasure.
I went down
in the deep water
speak to me through the window
decompression
I have been conducting
currents I could not control
speak to me through the window
in hand signals
found a treasure
don't know what it is
don't know what it is not
these flowers grow in darkness
a bird falls its given wings
the more I throw it away
the more it sings
walked a hundred miles
just to find some silence
some things don't matter when I think of it
found something
but it doesn't matter
ok, i suppose i can throw one crappy one in here that i wrote...
Another day has gone by
and still words remain unspoken
another time I want to try
but you are scared and broken
another day soon forgotten by you
that I'll always remember
why can't you give me a chance
to prove I'm worthy of your love
I will remain in this stance
and you will remain in your rut
you will never change
and I am ever-evolving
so we aren't meant to be
why don't you just set me free?
I can't let go without your permission
until I'm scared into submission
so tell me when to release
because I won't ever cease
until you tell me to
I just can't let go of you
I try, but to no avail
Do I let you slip away?
No, I hold on just one more day
I can't break free of my obsession
because I still wish you were my possession

The rabbit said, "I want a motercycle helmet." He got his wish.
The bear said, "I wish to be the only male bear in the United States, and all the rest to be female." And he got his wish.
The rabbit said, "I wish I had a motorcycle to go with that helmet." And he got his wish.
The bear said, "I wish I were the only male bear in the world, and all the rest were females." And he got his wish.
It was the rabbit's turn, and he said, "I wish that bear was gay."
