I thought folks around here were a little more enlightened.

Friends, please read this article and tell the author--and those making comments--this is cruel and ihumane: it is not a joke.

Giant Rabbits

You do not have to be an animal rights freak, a rescuer, a vegetarian or anything other than kind and alert to understand that the subject of this article is NOT funny and that these rabbits are being bred and ketp inhumanely and then sold to Koreans, who keep them in even worse condtions. When they are killed for food and fur it is done in an inhumane manner and the skinning is begun before they are even dead.

I mean, even in the picture the rabbit is being held in a very inhumane manner. Even normal sizrd rabbits should not be held like this: they can break their spines or shoulders, it is pain ful, and for a prey animal who lives on the ground and burrows it is frightening and stressful. Imagine the pain a larger rabbit feels.

I can't write any more, I am too angry and disgusted.
