Ok, so I'm convinced these SGnola meetups are cursed. This last Saturday was our 3rd or 4th group meetup, so let's review a few things that have happened thus far:
1: Sintantrix nearly breaks her ankle tripping over Parikhan's shoe.. over a week later, she's still limping..
2: Kayna and I get kicked out of One-Eyed Jack's within 2 minutes of arriving, after we all go as a group for 80's night
3: yours truly gets so retardedly drunk that i have to be dragged to Kayna's house at 5 in the morning.. not once, mind you, but twice.. first time by ProphetNoise, next time by BurstandBloom and HyenaHell. I would normally consider something like this an inevitable occasional consequence of meeting up with friends at a bar, except that i go out drinking all the time and these are the only 2 times I've blacked out in at least 2 or 3 years.
4: Kayna gets hit in the head with a board and knocked off her bike while riding home from the Hi-Ho Lounge, only a few short blocks from her house. This is the first time anything like this has happened to her in over 6 years coming to and/or living in New Orleans.
5: Kayna, Parikhan, and Sintantrix are assaulted and nearly mugged only a couple blocks from Sintantrix's apartment, definately in a part of the quarter that has always been considered safe by them. This is the first time anything like this has happened to either of the three, save maybe Kayna's attempted bike-jacking a couple weeks earlier. Sintantrix grabs Kayna and runs away on her (almost) broken ankle.
6: as a result of incident #5, Kayna nearly breaks her wrist, and is still wearing the wrist brace so kindly lent to her by Avalyn.
Now we always start off having such a great time at these meetups, but something fishy sure seems to be going on here!

There was some crazy chick all over me @ 80s night. My roommate kept on stepping in between us. That didn't deter her.
Then i made believe my friend Sean was my boyfriend.
That didn't work
Then i had my friends Zack and this cute chick he was mackin it to (i'm still drunk, i forget her name) escort me around. She was still ready to get at me. Staring at me from across the dance floor.
It was fuckin funny in a scary sorta scary-funny way.
Now who am i going to sing to? Bianca isn't deaf so i can't sing to her. At least it happen all at once before it got to the point where i had to nurse him to death in a shoebox with an eyedropper. That must have been absolutely horrible.
