so driving home just now was fun. i mean, more fun than it usually is. i drove past a casino on the interurban, and pulling out just at that moment was what looked like a double decker bus refurbished to look like a pirate ship, complete with pirates standing on the bow. apparently they were the seafair pirates. undaunted, i continued driving another hundred yards, only to find two police cars blocking the northbound lane. my first thought was, oh crap, they're out to get me! because i was, as usual, up to no good. but that didn't make much sense. so then i thought, they must be after the pirates. there must be a law against them standing on top of a moving vehicle, if not against their general piratey-ness. after a few moments of cluelessness and the arrival of a third cop car, i realized what had actually happened: one cop had rear-ended the other, and they were both spun sideways on the road. oh, it was a sight for sore eyes. and with a hearty chuckle, i missed the on-ramp to 5.
