So we just survived 7 days with no electricity thanks to a motherload of freezing rain. The first few days were fun. We sent the wee ones to a warm g-parents house while my wife and I decided to rough it. "Roughing it" included spending a whole lot of time in bed and finding "creative" ways to stay warm. While this was COMPLETELY fun, even hot candle wax and extreme physical exertion could not keep us warm. Alas, we too ran off to the warmth of our generous family's house.

Today, however, brought electricity, which brought warmth and lights, which brought great welcome home sex with all the lights on. We even had a few appliances running just for shits. To hell with conservation, we have electricity, BIIOOOTCH!!
