And I did the same thing the first time I met the author Isabel Allende. I handed her my book to sign and said, "You're my hero!" She said, "Oh NO!" And we both laughed. I didn't hide, but I felt like a tool afterward.
And finally... Betty Blue AND Edie???? I think I love you. You are the only other person I have met who has read the Edie book, besides the people I told to read it. I have a mad fascination with her. I read the book a bunch of times and watched Ciao Manhattan too many times to be healthy in my early 20s.

I actually lived in Seattle in 93 & 94. I think it was a "golden age" there. While it did rain, of course, it was that piddly little "British" type misty shit & I only saw a thunder storm once in almost two years. I do love the storms, but I'm pretty much . . . well, again, over it. We've got tix to see the Decemberists tomorrow night @ an outdoor amphitheater. The forecast? Strong storms. FML.

I hate to disabuse the stereotype [okay, no I dont] but Im one lawyer that hates true crime, and legal fiction, courtroom dramas, etc. (except for To Kill A Mockingbird and Twelve Angry Men). I prefer my books, and entertainment to provide an escape from my professional life.
