I was watching a commercial advertising a collection Harry Chapin tunes last night (since when did he have any sort of relevance in 2005 - I mean really?) and it caused me to turn to Sam and say What exactly was it with these overly wanna be profound cats in the 70's that they felt a small novel was in order via campfire song? Father & Son by Cat Stevens tells us in excruciating detail how much that son needs to get himself a woman and get on with it already and Cat in the Cradlejust reminds us that we are all crappy parents with no time for our kids with the same dialog induced necessity to drive the point home.
Ill tell you what.
Ive had enough of it.
No more dissertations on parenthood or any kind of relationship - hood via warbley pseudo 70s hipsters with white man fros.
That wave has passed.
Somebody needs to tell R. Kelly.
