Maybe I'm just too old for this world...I know I have felt that in various stages of life...even when all behavior pointed to the contrary. I dunno. I am out of snarky adjectives to describe the absolute fuckholery of the neighbors we will soon be leaving behind...but unfortunately there are so many of them crawling all over the city these days. What is it about this generation of young "adult" (and I use the term adult for lack of a better word) that has developed such a fucking self deserving, self righteous, self involved, SELF TWAT-FUCK mentality? I know that is partially part of the growing process. But I can also say, in all my travels, combining all of the various cities where I have dwelled and nights of debauchery in youth - I was never the asshole the majority of these kids are - nor were the people in our inner realms. We still had respect for other people - whether we enjoyed their company or not. If we shared a bulding we respected shared walls. If we shared a parking lot or driveway, we respected shared parking spots. If we shared a party, or sidewalk, or bar or fuck almighty - whatever - we respected shared space - we just weren't assholes about it. These kids are such assholes and damned proud of it.
What the hell is that?
Is it that so many of them were raised with immediate and instant gratification causing a sort of deserving expectation? Born into the internet, computer, cable, microwave, ipod, dvd, LCD, IKEA- if i want it - it shall come - i am "entitled" to everything - world.
It is disgusting.
The world is not your dorm room and you are just not.that.cool.
But then - I'm not that cool either.
Not even a little bit.
My daughter told me so.
Oh well.
Oh yeah - and it snowed.
A lot.
And being pregnant does not allow for the hobbit hole settling in of jaeger shots and cases of guinness whilst watching the white come down.
But even if it did - we wouldn't be assholes about it.
We'd just be drunk.
And naked.
And oh...forget it.
