I find this bizarre consumerism, in which people are camped out as early as Tuesday morning to embark upon the Black Friday mayhem in the oncoming hours, so...just...gross. I wish I had a more eloquent phrase for it. But it sums it up so nicely.
It's just gross.
However, my personal perverse routine shall be to watch White Christmas every day for the next month. Bing Crosby reminds me so much of my Pop Pop...it brings him back to life for me. That and my obsession with Vera Ellen's "Mandy" dance accompanied by her unnaturally, potentially record breaking, tiny waist. Especially during a time when the broads were more robust, you know? Rosemary Clooney knew what was hip back in the day. It was hips.
Ha.
