Welcome to Tuesday folks. I was struck last evening, in watching my son stay in character (he was Mario of course), by how beautiful something like that is to witness. He wouldn't say "trick or treat" he would say, in his version of an accent, "helllo-a it's-a me mario" then he would throw in a couple of "mama mia"'s and end it with "thank-a you-a! happy-a haloween-a" (in Sebi's world, adding an "a" at the end of the word makes it Italian). It was rad. He was completely unencumbered by anything but the moment and his part in it. Now, that my friends is a boy who understands the the way. That kid inspires me.
"Well, what do you think, Pooh?" I said.
"Think about what?" asked Pooh.
"The Tao of Pooh, of course."
"The how of Pooh?" asked Pooh.
"Do we have to go through that again?" I said.
"Go through what again?" asked Pooh.
""The Tao of Pooh," I said.
"What's the Tao of Pooh?"
"You know - the Uncarved Block, the Cottleston Pie Principle, the Pooh Way, That Sort of Bear, and all that."
"Oh," said Pooh.
"That's the Tao of Pooh," I said.
"Oh," said Pooh.
"How would you describe it?" I asked.
"Well ... this just came to me," he said, "I'll sing it to you."
"All right."
"Now, then ... (erhum),"

[Truthfully, like carbonated beverages, I tend to use brand names, like a coke is a coke - - I call chuck's chuck's and Nike's Nike's - - if I've got to generalize into a category, there are running shoes, tennis shoes, basketball shoes, etc. Who the hell sneaks anyway?]
