What began as a simply perfect vacation has become the sad ending of life for my amazing grand family matriarchal grandmother. She is dying and I suppose it is fortunate that it has come now while I am here rather than thousands of miles away. But my heart is breaking and I am having a terrible time saying good bye. The kids and I are staying in NJ an extra week to be with my mom and hold my Mimi's hand when she slips away...as my husband flies back to our Coloradoland and that is equally as distressing. These are sad days my friends.
