I wrote this song once, back when I was like I dunno, 23 maybe? I know I have copies of it, but that bin in the basement is completely out of control what with my pulling random items out of it at will. My friend Blair hated when I would write about myself in the third person ("Believe it or not George isn't at home..." - offhanded Seinfeld reference that coincidentally made my husband and I laugh and laugh this morning having nothing to do with this)
But, in any case, it was written that way - and I used to be able to recite it but now all I remember is the beginning:
She's confused by her own beauty
She brings on her own pain
She tests the ones she loves until they abandon her in vain
She's lost all her moral values
Sold her faith for mere untruths
Condemns the ones who lie to her
But she wills her own abuse
And when those she needs no longer need her
When they fail to find the strength to feed her
Insecurities they finally leave her
As she knew they would from the start
It's so hard to comprehend the twisted acts she justifies as art

It reminds me so much of Jules.
And that is a heavy ache.
But...LAS KETCHUP! HEY HA!
