I was telling my fella about my obsession with this animated character and how I traced it until I could draw it freely, which I did, on every goddamned notebook cover and pair of jeans I had when I was 16. This is an artistic achievement for which I hold great pride. And I don't care who knows it. Because (you see) all of my close friends at the time were real drawing/painting/sketching artists ...and I? I was a writer. So I would write about them and the scenario and scenery while they drew everything with this beautiful grace and ease that I wanted so badly to posses. This Circle Jerks character I have shared with you is my Mona Lisa. It's true. Even though it is not even one that I drew. The symbolism is there. Breath it in.
