In which the princess turns 9 and mom feels ancient :
So our little girl turned 9 yesterday...I tend to forget it is Valentine's Day every year, which may seem impossible what with the plethora of mylar hearts whacking me in the face, but I do because I am so focused on making her birthday perfect. She blows me away on so many levels - such a great, funny, smart, beautiful kid but couple that with the genes of her mother - and you also get a freaking snarky mcsnarkpants who exhibits utter disbelief at the fact that I know anything at all.
It is an interesting dichotomy to say the least - and one that reminds that day-ummm I am almost FORTY (for those of you who have crossed this milestone I realize it may not seem all that significant but for the devil-may-care-me who swore that 40 was a number merely devised for my parents it is daunting to say the least)!
