So...I don't know if anyone caught it when coldenginelogic posted about this:
The Coolest Thing Ever
Last night after he dropped off his first book he came home and fully explained the concept to me, which I don't think I was fully understanding previously. I honestly think this is the swankest idea I have ever heard. To choose a place to "drop" a book that has held some significance for you, leaving it with instructions for the lucky recipient who discovers it to go to the website and register telling where they found the book and then finding books to release of their own, thus connecting you to another book devotee on a level you would never otherwise have had the opportunity to realize. I cannot wait to do this with our daughter to observe which books she chooses to release to this scavenger hunt of literature. In essence, you are releasing not only a simple book, but your own energies that went into the consumption of said book. I mean, not to sound all ethereal and kumbaya about it. I just think this concept is punk rock as shit and I am thankful that my fella never fails in the daily introduction of something new to make me think and uncover layers of perspective that I didn't even know lay dormant inside of me.
Just fucking right on.
