Well . . . there I was at midnight at Virgin amidst a sea of "Brokeback Mountain" fans. Needless to say, while some may argue "Brokeback" and Morrissey fans probably like similar things, I chose Mozz. I haven't seen "Brokeback Mountain" yet, but my brother dug it. Me? I'm really digging the new Morrissey. Against my better judgement (and thin wallet), I purchased the limited edition digipak version with DVD. Yeah, I know, sucker. Sorry, Morrissey earned my SoundScan points. I absolutely lurve the man's music. Which prompts the question, any of you read "How Soon Is Never?" by Marc Spitz? It's a fictional account of a music journalist attempting to reunite the Smiths. Good read. For me, it brought back memories of WLIR/WDRE on Long Island. Quite possibly the best radio station on the East Coast--sadly, it's gone. Closest comparison would be "Sunday Night Vinyl" on 104.1 (one really good reason to listen to regular radio). I imagine if I ever had the opportunity to do my own radio show, I'd call it "Obscure" and I'd play the stuff you just don't hear anywhere . . . sample playlist:

1. Boris Grebenshikov "Radio Silence"
2. Shona Laing "Glad I'm Not A Kennedy"
3. Adrien Belew w/David Bowie "Pretty Pink Rose"
4. P.i.L. "Disappointed"
5. The Primitives "Way Behind Me"
6. Transvision Vamp "Revolution Baby"
7. Adam & the Ants "Xerox"
8. Siouxsie & the Banshees "Obsession"
9. Strawberry Switchblade "Since Yesterday"
10. The Replacements "Kiss Me On the Bus"

Now that would be some goooood shit. I'm gonna drift off and play some more playlists in my head.

I was totally fucking disappointed in that match. I can't believe he tapped out. I mean, I thought maybe Trips would lose because he always fucking wins...but I figured he would be beat out of it...

What did you think of that match?

No, it definitely wasn't disappointing...it was just that match. I'm really fucking happy that Ray Mysterio won. Though, I KNEW he would. I mean who didn't? I loved Eddie G. and he'll be missed...
And I feel like Ray is keeping him alive. ^.^
