Yesterday I saw Quiet Riot and Skid Row play a free show in an aircraft hanger. Beer was cheap, and served in large cups, and there was a pretty good turnout. I think Quiet Riot may have had 2 original members, while Skid Row just had thier original guitarist. (Time has not been kind, ladies) The crowd seemed really into it, although I have never witnessed so much cheap applause grubbing at a concert in my life. I'll be damned though if they didn't come out with all cylinders firing though, prancing around and screeching like it was still 1985. I was amazed, they were truly sincere and thus impossible not to enjoy. I ws also surprised, and a bit embarrased, by how many Skid Row songs I knew most of the words to.(I Remember You, Youth Gone Wild, 18 and Life, Slave to the Grind) For some reason they plated "I Remember You" 3 times, and also they covered the Ramones song "Psychotherapy". I mainly went because it ws free and I wanted to say I'd seen them, but it was fun.
Thanks for the good luck wishes, Hon. Hope everything is going well in Korea!
