I am having nasal/sinus surgery tomorrow.
Supposedly, removing a blockage in my sinuses will make me feel less like shit.
Hurrah.
Or at least that is what my otolaryncologist told me.
That's a ear, nose, and throat doctor for the laypeople (or for the people who haven't listened to Troubled Hubble's "Ear, Nose And Throat" tsk. tsk.)
The people at the hospital didn't think it was funny when I wrote Liebchen in the space for the executor of my living will. That's the name of my brother's dog that is constantly pissed off.
I thought it was hilarious. Who wouldn't want a perma-pissed dog deciding to pull the plug or not?
And another thing, I hate when the doctor says, "It's a simple procedure."
And then you look at the side effects of the surgery and it says things like "death" or my favorite "spinal leakage."
Spinal leakage? Really? That sounds like a sludge metal band.
Here is to hoping they don't fuck up.
Oh, and that new Indiana Jones movie looks ace. I was afraid.
I also re-watched Swingers today for the 1000 time. What an awesome movie.
I am going to have a 30 Rock/The Office marathon as I recover. Who isn't stoked about that?
I just realized that I've asked like 15 questions in this blog. It's like taking a test. Only worse.
