Darkly is the face of danger
and even as the moments linger
will we see ourselves as strangers?
Even as we breath the same air
our hearts are hard for one another.
And even as we find more in common
we drift apart and fiercly hate
for reasons old and reasons obscure.
Are you human or are you American?
Am I worth your ire, Christian mother?
Atheist father.
Will we stand firm against the dying of the light?
Or are we blind to it, guiding ourselves
not by the warmth of love
but by the suriety of ignorance and insular thought
the comfort and simplicity of Us vs. Them.
I want to be Jumping Spider
I want to be a Great White Shark
Deep Ocean thoughts and insect dinners.
Look up into the void of stars and tell me?
When they come a knockin on our door?
Will we be ready
Or will we be eager for their domination?
