Art Vampire
I slowly fear I am becoming one who is attaching one's self to a movement, scene or theme & by surrounding myself inside of it, pretensiously feel as if i have claim over it.

I have long wanted to be a unique, artistic individual who could create original personal works and claim them as my own. But, 7 years out of high school, 5 years out of film school & I do not have much to show for it honestly.

I have my personal video projects, which can be found at http://www.youtube.com/julianbleach which I am very proud of, even the older ones I cringe at realising how much I have grown since then. But the thing that makes them work, in my opinion, is the matching of cuts/edits to the beats of the songs. Songs which aren't my own. So does that make me an artistic thief, a begger, borrower, stealer? A murderer, hack/slasher?! I need to create a personal video project with everything original, my own style, my own compositions, and subject matters, that i can take with me when i die. Just bury me with a film canister gripped between my clammy dead hands.

I have my photography, which can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/ceasefire/sets/ which I am also fairly proud of. Though in all honesty, the best shots came about through either flukiness, drunkeness or both. The rest of them i just consider point-n-shoot happy-go-lucky give or take stuff. Maybe i should start a Portfolio album collecting my favourite shots.

"Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination...And dont bother concealing your thieverycelebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: Its not where you take things fromits where you take them to" - Jim Jarmusch

Despite that, I still feel like the universe is going to catch me out and execute me for my indirect plagarism.
