Is it just me or are the rest of you friends with only the most ignorant, annoying idiots you know?

I used to be.... now my close friends are the most wonderful people in the world (in my world, anyway). I tend to be really really picky these days. I prefer to start friendships online first now. It's so easy to just click 'ignore' when people start acting like idiots, and by the time they've shown their true colors they still only know me by false moniker... no weirdos with my phone or address. 
Some of my closest friends still call me by my screen names and we've been buddies for years.
