The difference between a hobby and a lifestyle or calling is simple.
Would you die or be harmed for it? Does it feel like you were put on this planet to do this?
Art is not my hobby. It is necessary for survival. I would gladly bleed for art. Since I was young I knew it was why I was born. I must always paint and create and sing and make music and write. If I do not I have no reason at all to live. Not love not shelter and certainly not money could change this.


I would rather die than give up art.
