CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!
I offered to take over Passover dinner for my mother because I need to start learning how to set it up myself for the day when I officially take over.
Her response was, "You're a professional chef, you have cooked the dinners before. But you don't know how to set up a family dinner."
I've set up sit down dinners for hundreds of people. I think I can handle 15 people.
"It's not the same. I don't think you are ready for it."
This is why I have no self esteem, and my family is dysfunctional. No one can trust anyone with anything. No wonder I'm fucked up.
