This veterans day I thought about the people in my life who have served/are serving:
My grandfather - Edward Jackson, he flew planes in battle of the bulge
My father - Jerry Manchen, he served in Vietnam teaching people to speak english (basically he was Robin Williams in Good Morning Vietnam... but no radio show)
My friend - Jason Burroughs PunkJr, Navy
My friend (and heart) - Dustin Watson WhoDoVooDooWeDo, still serving and overseas right now serving in Iraq on his second tour.
My friend - Ronn Cantu Sirloins, army, at Fort Hood right now.
To the ones that have served, I am grateful.
To the ones still serving, I am grateful.
