Summer's here, time for farmer's markets! Well, not yet really, but it's definitely got me thinking of fresh veggies and apple pies. On another topic, I live in AK, and ANWR is the size of, say, South Carolina. It can tolerate a few roads, pipelines, and drilling operations.
Perhaps people don't appreciate that Alaska is over twice the size of France, and that ANWR is by no means the only bit of unspoiled land left in Alaska - the immense Yukon Flats for example - or elsewhere in the US for that matter.
Just my $.02.
