This is somewhat long, boring and won't bother me if you decide to skip.

I think the only problem I will ever have if I get married or just move in with someone I'm in a relationship with, is that I like Judy-time way, way too much to sacrifice it. I spend so much time alone, and used to hate being by myself; I don't...

You totally find some good stuff on your computer that you sometimes didn't even know you had, or that you even saved, when cleaning it out.

My friend Jay (who made a brief attempt at membership) and I were talking on AIM two years ago, when I was in the midst of a cold. I had said that I probably got sick because of...

Tonight I had my first day of class; a creative writing one, at that. Is it bad that I thought it funny when the kid sitting next to me asked if paraphrasing is plagiarism?

The teacher's in the room, sitting at his desk and I want to ask him if he's a writer but feel weird doing it. The last of the students leave, and...

Is the sun up there yet? It's 10 in the morning here. A nice, sunny, day. I'll be going out later to do a bit of grocery shopping. I need to buy bananas; they have lots of zinc which will be good for my ear. confused I think.

Not only is it right now 7:05 ante meridian, I am horribly awake. I've tried; I've failed. Sleep has refused to come to me prior to the wee, unholy hours of morn for the last...very long time. I had set an alarm to get me springing from bed at 9 this morning, but realized after having got up three separate times between the hours of...

let's hear it for boobs!!!

as far as half-built houses... they tore a building down by where i work, and yesterday I realized that it's absense provided something that I've never seen in NYC: space. it's so nice. there's space to breathe. you can see the buildings a block away. it's so nice. ack... i've been craving space lately, and missing the West. NYC's a bad place to be when you're craving space, and I'm sure this space won't last long. So I'll enjoy it while i have it smile

The little children, and the not-so-little children, who live next door to me are constantly beating the shit out of each other whenever they're outside "playing." Nary a day goes by when they are out, that the youngest of thema little boydoesn't get the crap knocked out of him by his older sisters. They leave the kid wailing outside their house and mine, while they...

Women who hate children, or who like children but just don't want any, get a *much* harder time from society than blokes. They get called "selfish", which seems mental. At least, it does to me.
dem_z:
Also, good luck with your "sneaky little plans". smile

Happy thoughts.

It's almost frightening how I go from an absolutely sour mental state to one on the verge of all-out sillyness or a simple...just being alright. Although that ability is probably my saving grace, it also might make me look like a whack-job something fierce. The only thing I have to show for how I felt an hour ago are a pair of puffy...

as for the hamster thing..I've never thought they were real. More man-made and tools of satan. I mean you don't find hamsters in the wild. They are just not natural i say! SATAN BABIES! the lot of them!
i worked at Petsmart once where we sold these hamsters that were genetically altered or some shit to be more gentle and docile. Those fuckers were the meanest ones. It reminded me a bit of jurassic park.

I like the poem, but I like the photo much more - you look adorable!

Oh, and the poem was written between 1540-something and 1607? I know good work takes a long time, but isnt that a REALLLLLY long time?

And lastly, good for you - you should never ever have to settle. You dont know how great it is that you know it at 21!

Y~!

It's amazing how many people are up and out 8:30am on a Sunday.

Last night, at 7pm, I met with my friend Nelson in Times Square, outside of the now defunct food court on 42nd between 7th and 8th. We had an hour to kill before meeting with our friend Travis and his family and friends for his pre-birthday birthday dinner, so Nelson suggested I...

Are you happy?

Why are you? And if you aren't, what would make you happy?

Now that I am okay with who I am, I certainly feel better about a lot of things. It took me a very long time to come to that point, though.

Driving isn't too bad, except when you're stuck behind people who don't really understand the concept of how to drive. Up here one has to take two road tests in order to get a full license, and I think that these people cheated to get theirs. Or something like that. tongue

Those were two nice ones.

Am I happy? Yes, though I'm incredibly tired. Film school stole my energy like a ravenous baby vampire.

Interesting picture. Not familiar with the poem, though.

I am a Law & Order fanatic and will watch it whenever I get the chance. It's just a wicked show. You're not the only one who drools over Chris Noth, either. My sister gets all drooly over him too. I find it very amusing. smile

Your courses sound way more interesting than anything I took at university. It was just math, physics, and more math. I did take a year long history course in my final year, though. We spent the first half of the year discussing Greek history and then moved on to Roman history for the second half. Cool stuff.

The book is about relationships, and was drawn in part from personal experiences during my first year of university. The idea sounded interesting, so I decided to start writing. The last year of the six I spent writing it was primarily used in trying to end the damn thing, and it came suddenly to me last December. I've also toyed with the idea of turning it into a movie, but I don't think I'll ever follow it through.

If I had a crap load of money, I'd fly Jem out to see him too. And then I'd fly all three of you out here so we could hang out and have our little zamboni parade. That would kick ass.
