Here's to wearing hooded sweatshirts in mid-July; Fuck off, summer!

I woke up at 9am, and spent most of the morning and afternoon reading Brave New World for a Liberal Arts seminar I have to take. My class didn't start until 5:45pm and it felt like forever for time to pass before I had to leave to get there. Overall I like the class, but we're packed into a ridiculously tiny room that is overflowing with desks, and there is a chick in this class I had US history with two semesters ago, whom I cannot stand. At all. I don't particularly like calling anyone stupid, but she's pretty stupid. I find myself tapping my pen extremely hard and very loud on my desk or notebook, whenever she opens her mouth; which is quite often. Why is it that the people who actually have things to say hardly partake in the discussions? If it were elementary school and I'd have been a mean kid, I wouldn't think twice about spit-balling her or leaving gum on her chair.

Enough complaining! I'm in a good mood!
And I can't stop prancing around my room singing into a hairbrush along with Blind Melon's "No Rain."

I'm totally going to see Elton John perform at Radio City tonight. So excited. I hope he plays everything I love off Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

After some consideration, I don't think I'm going to sleep tonight.

Great image in my head of you dancing around singing into a hairbrush. I love it.

I teach, so believe me when I say that you haven't heard a 10th of the dumb shit that people say.

When I find a student that actually gets it, that tracks the material and the discussion and adds value to the class, it is almost as good as sex. Actually it is rare enough that, on a comparative frequency basis it is better than sex.
