Hi y'all. I've been meaning to update for a week, but I've been busy, busy, busy.
I've been working my butt off at work to try to get a promotion. It's on it's way to working. I got major props last week for creating some important documents the details of which I will not bore you with. Lets just say it's going countrywide on wednesday.
I've been kicking my own ass at the gym. I liked the beatings kick boxing was giving me so much I extended my membership. I think it's safe to say I'm in the best shape of my young adult life. That is an accomplishment I am super proud of. Hopefully if I can get a hold of my photog you will get to see the fruits of my labour in a phoo set. I am begining a torrid love affair with my body.
I started volunteering at one of my favorite community spaces as well. If you are in the area, (Suusex, NJ or Warwick, NY) you should deffinately pay it a visit. Pacem in Terrace is my sanctuary. It is the only place where I feel truely at peace. Many find this clarity and peace in a church or sinagog. And that's wonderful for them. I found it here a few years ago and I wanted to help keep it alive. The artist who created it is ill so they need lots of volunteers. I don't know why I feel so at home and quiet there. I suppose it is so unlike this world that I feel outside myself. But, no that isn't it, it's that I am so completely inside myself that I found a quiet place I didn't know was there.
And now I am sitting in a towel, not feeling the same peace because I can't find my shorts. Oh well.
