love:
Houston's- (on wilshire and 2nd) the seared tuna with coleslaw- and their fries with the buttermilk dressing instead of ketchup. - Also the sister restaurant Gulf Stream in the Century city mall (yes, mall) for excellent crab cakes or salmon-- for both of these places- a 4 o'clock or 10 o'clock dinner is recommended or else you become engulfed in the masses.

Nawab of India- best india on the west side. others would disagree and say that the place on pico and bundy is better, but i really don't think so.

love Sushi Roku (corner of ocean and santa monica)- the lobster rolls in rice paper are completely awesome - also another good sushi spot is Taka Sushi on 2nd.

been dying to try out the new steak house across from roku called Boa for the filet, but haven't made it yet. smile

love your journal-hope things are looking up in LA- we should try and chat more; at the very least I think we have found in each other someone who will never judge for endless, annoying pet stories and cutesy pictures.

I don't want to be a lawyer anymore. There can be little argument that the world needs another one, and, surely, it can do without me. I'm confident there is a contrarian out there who would disagree, but I truly cannot fathom a less creative existence. The law is built upon precedent. In other words, every argument you make is predicated on something that has...

WAIT A MINUTE! It would be a total waste if you quit being an attorney!

The other night at Voda when that ass started talking about the war....what you did was B R I L L I A N T!!!!!

First you let him talk and dig a hole for himself.

Then you asked him all these questions that on the surface seemed completely general but you knew exactly what you were doing.

Five minutes later you were able to string together every answer he gave you to completely rip apart his argument.

AND I NEVER SAW YOU SWEAT! IT WAS EFFORTLESS FOR YOU!

If you can use all that to help people, you SHOULD.

Also.....

it is very sexy to watch you do your thing like that. love

Is there something else that is bothering you? You've worked very hard to get where you are, right? So is it just the one thing about being creative or is there more?

What do you really like to do?

Well, there you have it: Actual indicia that I'm not wild-eyed alterna-girl stalker, but rather an innocent blogger who sought out his most appropriate forum.

1. Himillsy broke the SG seal by actually hanging out with me in person, and lived to tell the tale. To quote her journal entry of the following day:

Had a few drinks with LAESQ at Barney's Beanery last night....

IT'S now evident that I will not be able to keep up this breakneck blogging pace forever, and I have no intention of burdening you all with yet more pictures of my dogs or token gesture entries such as:

It's cloudy today. I'm sad. frown

TO this end, I've had to meditate on alternate ways of maintaining my meager beginnings of momentum here while at the...

Yesterday proved itself to be a rather eventful day here on SG for me. Names will be omitted to protect the innocent, but the developments were as follows:

1. I started a dialog with someone so absurdly intelligent that our conversation both inspired and intellectually emasculated me. To soften the blow to my ever delicate ego, she was kind enough to send along a track...

oh i saw her alright! check your mail.

btw - who's that in the pic with you?
sphynxgirl:
I believe there is a song to that effect. However, it is by a Spaniard, so what does he know? Did he ever even live here? Having a summer home in Malibu doesn't quite qualify one to write and/or sing a song about our weather. It actually rains quite a bit here during the winter.

Being a relatively new SG member (and only very recently an active one), I probably don't have too many souls checking out my journal entries...which, needless to say, somewhat saps my motivation for posting them. However, I suppose I'm up against the classic Catch-22 paradigm. No reason to write if no one is going to read vs. No one is going to read if I...

I will admit though, the Mets this year have an awsome team both on paper and in the feild, the yankees do as well, but I still would like to see if the Amazins' can play .500 ball going into the All-Star brake
