Strangers, The Warlocks and The Black Angels happened last night and I'm still feeling that fuzzy reverb in my head. It's great to be able to go to all these shows that I've always wanted to be a part of, I'll tell ya' it's the best thing to come out of me doing my radio show at WPRK.
local darlings, Strangers opened up and I am proud to say I was there when they started it all, all of us huddled at Rick's place...20 guitars, 3 basses and 2 drumsets plus a slew of percussion, if you want to call beer clanging persussion, it was great. last night came all full circle, they owned it.

Where did Murphy play? Mind you I know NOTHING about any areas of Florida. I picked up whatever the current paper is with Against Me! on the cover and tried to get ideas about shows, found nothing, though. Please alert me if you hear of Cat Power or Black Kids playing ANYwhere....they're my only hope as they're residents.
Anyhow, my thoughts EXACTLY on Glamorama, YES! I almost put it away, I was very close to giving up. I still finished it in a few days, but it was a struggle at one point---at about a little past the half mark I guess. But I really thought it was very Fight Clubby.
I have no idea where I am--apparently New Tampa? Please give me ANY skinnies, that would rock! I've been here briefly and have seen nothing else apart from Mojo Books & Records (which is amazing). Oh and I've gone to the movies. I'd love to know of any shows or even coffee houses, anything.
