Epic Rant...

The following is a post a made to my facebook page. I have pasted it here for anyone interested or willing to read it.
Warning: FB rant
One of the biggest arguments against free education is that people should earn their right to higher education. In my opinion, this is one of the most selfish arguments you can make. You have no idea what happens in other peoples lives or what they have been through. Just because they haven't "earned" it in the same way you have doesn't remotely mean they haven't earned it. In this country there are many people that have the potential to do great things but never get the opportunity due to where they where born, or the choices their parents have made, or because they work to support their family, or have sacrificed to help someone they care about. They are many people that have been denied the chance to better themselves simply because they work jobs that don't pay enough. Most jobs in this country don't come close to covering the cost of college. Yet without people working these jobs the economy would collapse. Your garbage men, the cook at your favorite restaurants, these are just a couple of the types of jobs that we need in this country, yet most people in these positions can't afford to go to school. Yes there are always going to be those that take advantage of the system that don't deserve it. That will happen in any system. The fact that there are a few people in this country that will take advantage doesn't come close to the people that would benefit. You want this country to be great again? Then we need more educated people in this country. The more educated people we have, the smarter this country will be as a whole and the better off we would all be. How often do you go somewhere and get frustrated because of the stupidity of some people? Again, less chance of that if more people have had proper school. Again, yes, there will be those that take advantage. But lets think about this for a minute. Most of the "worthless" people (as you might see them) won't even put forth the effort to try to go to college. Even if they do put forth the effort to sign up for college still doesn't mean anything. Effort has to be put in to finish college. Effort has to be put in to earn a degree. No matter who has paid the bill, you have to earn your education. You earn it by the studying, the late nights, the effort you put forth to better yourself. We should not deny someone the chance to better themselves simply due to their financial situation. It should be determined by the effort that individual puts forth in their school itself. To deny these people that chance is not only selfish, but Un-American. If your argument is that you feel you shouldn't have to pay (taxes) to help someone else have a chance at higher education, once again, that is a selfish argument. Not only is it selfish, but I find it extremely illogical. We currently are paying for men and women to go to other countries and kill and be killed yet find it difficult to pay for our own citizens to go to school. How is this an accepted way of living? How do we sit by as the government takes our money and uses it to destroy lives but raise hell when the idea is brought up to better lives instead. You can say and/or believe what you want. There is no logical argument for using tax payers money to kill instead of educate. Bring our soldiers home. Let them protect THIS country! You want safer borders? Don't build a stupid wall that will also raise our taxes yet accomplishes nothing more than causing tension between us and one of our closest allies. Bring our soldiers home and let them work the borders instead of sending them far away from their families with no idea if they will ever see them again. Let them work the airports, let them work all of the places that are at high risk of attack. Let them work in this country to protect this county. There is no way a soldier can protect us from another country. Bring them home. They have sacrificed enough. Guess what, If you bring our soldiers home, you will not only be bettering their lives. You will also be bettering the lives of their families. You will also free up more than enough money that is currently wasted on death that can now be used to better the lives of any American citizen that is willing to study hard and become a better version of themselves. This is suppose to be the greatest country in the world yet we don't even come close to the top of the list in any educational field. We are supposed to be the greatest country in the world yet we deny our own citizens the chance to become better. If we work to better ourselves as a whole, the country will become a better place. The smarter we all become, the more the economy will improve, the more everything will improve. The majority of the "educated" people running this country are people who never "earned" their keep. They are mostly made up of people that where handed their education by wealthy families. Why is it ok for these people to be handed free education because of the life they where born into, yet not ok for those born into poverty. You can have whatever opinion you want on the subject or how I feel. That is fine. It is a free country. I just can't understand how anyone can feel that way. I am not posting this to start a comment argument. I just felt like ranting for a moment. It has been bothering me and I needed to get it off my chest. If you disagree, fine. Feel free to post your opinion on your status. I know I have posted comments on others statuses I disagree with but have come to realize it really does nothing more than cause frustration and childish arguments. So lets try something different. If you agree with what I have posted, feel free to like it or share it. If not, then don't. If you would like to share your opinion then feel free, as I said before, to post it to your page. I just wanted to share my thoughts, not start an argument. Hope you all are having a lovely day. That is all for now.
