Is it just me or is this year the most underwhelming class of Oscar Nominees in a long time? I am going to be pretty fucking pissed of Will Smith wins best actor for "Pursuit of Happyness". That movie was a cliche hackfest who's only intention was to make you cry fool you into believing that if a movie makes you cry it must be a great movie.

Paul Haggis does this same cheesy shit with his writing and all of a sudden "Crash" wins best picture, which it is clearly wasn't. I don't mean to beat a dead horse and this point has been mentioned before, but Paul Haggis created Walker, Texas FUCKING Ranger for god's sake. That should automatically disqualify you from winning an Academy Award right?!?!?!??!

Now don't get me wrong I like Will Smith, this is not a personal attack on him, or his acting. I will always respect him for "Ali" alone. But his movies are at the very least entertaining and at best pretty damn good (see: Six Degrees of Separation). I just don't want to see him win for that movie.

I'll be rooting for Forrest Whittaker (even though I have yet to see "Last King of Scotland" I have heard amazing amazing things) because he is fucking Charles Jefferson! I will also pull for a Eddie Murphy win just to see him squirm when his next abomination "Norbit" hits screens.
