Lots going on today - found out I am going to be a commanding Officer for some poor slobs next year. Great deal for me!
Anyway, I will spare you the crap about my personal life and give you the crap of my advice. This one is one of the great truths in life so pay attention!!

5. You Definitely Cannot take it with you, act accordingly.
This truth should be self evident to even the most dense among us. Yet there are people out there still who cannot seem to grasp this simplest of axioms.
We tend to work too damned hard and play too damned little these days. Take a look at what you are doing and then re-read point #2 - it is in the comments section of 1 Nov. (For those too lazy to do this, it is "If you aren't having fun, you're doing it wrong!!")
Life is short, work only as hard as you need to in order to get the things you need to play hard! Don't freaking hoard it either. The point is to have fun and end this ride with the same stuff you had when you started. Not a damned thing! Of course if you aren't CF (Child Free) like I am, then you have to plan at least a little, but even that is not really relevant because by the time the ride is over the little shit monsters should be relatively self-sufficient.
So, there you have it folks. Take care and feel sorry for us down here in 'Merica cause we are in the shit now! Have you seen our president?
