so, went down to Miami for some party down time. fun fun fun is all i can say. got to say hi to some people that i haven't seen in 7 years, reconnect with an old flame, and just have some fun relaxin' in the sun. then saturday,we went out, and i woke up in the hospital. not fun. lesson learned: don't start drinking at noon and continue on, then end the night with 8 shots of Lemon Drops. yeah, that was stupid.
then i drove over to Oklahoma to drop my car off to my parents so that they can take care of it while i'm in Italy. so, i'm about an hour away, and a cop pulls me over. speeding (go figure). he runs my license, and it comes up suspended. evidently, while in Oklahoma, if you're caught driving with a suspended license, they arrest your ass. and the rest of you too. so they arrest me, impound my car, and off to the bighouse i go. the officer was a pretty cool guy, didn't put me in cuffs, and allowed me to call my parents on my cell. i get to the jailhouse, and it's really clear that this county of Oklahoma isn't in the top ten for revenue. horrid comes to mind. however, they do allow me to post bail for myself ($420 worth!!!!!), and then i'm on my way. one slight issue...they confiscated my license, so now i can't even pick up my car. my parents were on their way though, and arrived to save my ass, and another $150 later, my car and i are both freebirds.
only since i don't have a license at all, my Dad ends up driving my Evo. let's just say it was a fun ride, and we made it back just a bit sooner than my Mom in her car.
so, now i'm up in Seattle, got my license reinstated (another $500 fine!! DAMMIT!!), and rented a limo for saturday night to go live it up for a night on the town.
it's been a good trip, and i wouldn't change anything, but damn, the fines cost me over a grand, but i got to see some of my pals across the country, and that's priceless.
