This has been burning in my mind for a while now. I have been thinking about leaving Seattle in 2005.

I am of several minds to where I want to move to. I need to think about my future job (my website! my photography!) and of course my living situation. I am still looking for a job to sustain me for a few months while still getting my website started.

I am thinking about Portland. I have lived in California and I have lived in Washington of course but I figure I may live in Oregon so I can say I have lived in all three West Coast states. It's a pretty kick back place too. Lots of cool people as well.

Santa Cruz, CA would be another possibility. It is near the ocean, loads of women in wetsuits, and has a cool counterculture scene. The only drawback that renting an apartment or even a studio or closet would be uber-expensive.

If Bush wins in 2004, I may just end up getting the hell out of the country. Two cities outside the US have come in mind.

Vancouver would be a cool place to go to. Just like Seattle and close by to Seattle so all of you in SeattleSG-land could visit me.

Amsterdam is another choice I have. they have a tres-cool fetish scene and anything goes there! I would have to know some Dutch to get by though. I think I could fit in well over there.

Well, who knows? I may just end up staying around Seattle but you never know.

I almost moved to Santa Cruz a couple of years ago. It just sounds so dreamy: sun, bike paths, sun. Now it's pretty much between San Fran and NY, if I go moving anytime soon. Or maybe Europe... I'd like to live in on another continent.

i used to have a roommate from the Netherlands. i learned from her that reading dutch may be somewhat important, but speaking it isn't needed as much. most who go through the equivalent of our high school there speak a second and sometimes third language. english is the first big choice, then french and german.
